Two insurance platforms, built from the ground up.
As tech lead for Sanlam Maroc, I led delivery of a central purchasing system and a fleet subscription and policy management platform, from architecture to production.
The challenge
Both products were new builds. There was no existing system to extend, so the team needed a solid technical foundation, clear conventions and a reliable path to production from day one.
Insurance workflows involve several user roles, approval steps and sensitive data, so access control and maintainability mattered as much as feature delivery.
My role
- Defined the architecture and technical conventions for both projects
- Led development across the React frontend and NestJS backend
- Set up authentication and role-based access with Keycloak
- Built the CI/CD and deployment workflow
- Guided the team through implementation decisions and code reviews

Central purchasing system — a single platform for the company’s purchasing process.
Fleet policy platform — a platform for fleet subscription and the management of the resulting insurance policies.
